Both Libby squads beat Bluehawks

Libby’s girls basketball team secured a much-needed win over Class B Thompson Falls on Friday, as the Lady Loggers downed the Lady Bluehawks, 45-43.

With the win, Libby improves to 2-9, with a single conference win.

Hailey Craig led the Lady Loggers with 20 points over the No. 9-ranked Thompson Falls team. 

Logan Beckman responded with 23 points for the Lady Bluehawks, which dropped to 7-5.

Libby fell behind quickly, 20-14 at the half, but an 18-point fourth quarter buoyed Libby over T-Falls. 

The Lady Loggers will host Troy on Friday.

Libby’s boys basketball team romped over the overmatched Bluehawks of Thompson Falls on Friday, 46-29.

The Loggers were led by Barak Lapka, who scored 21 points to blow past T-Falls. Libby improves to 5-7 with the win. 

A 15-point first quarter surged the Loggers ahead, and they never looked back. Thompson falls (4-8) scored just 10 points in the second half.

Ross Dalby scored 13 for the Bluehawks to lead Thompson Falls. 

Libby will host Troy on Friday.
