Waters still request public transportation
Letter to the Editor,
Dear comrades, Yvonne and I have asked for our public transportation for 24 years now. We are also Americans with disability and 69 years old. We have asked Lincoln County Transportation for over four years.
Yvonne and I have hitchhiked for 24 years. When we get to Libby and asked Lincoln County Transportation to take us out to our mail box along U.S. Highway 2 just past the Yaak Road, they say they are unavailable.
When we are at the community health care center and ask them to phone Lincoln County Transportation to take us out to our mailbox, they refused to.
When we phoned the state or county police, they treat us with absolute disregard.
We have asked our congressmen for transportation for 24 years. Our county commissioner, state Legislature, and our governor, no response.
Could somebody tell us what horrible crime we committed to be treated like this?
