Robert C. Conn, 80, of Libby

Robert C. “Bubba” Conn, 80, of Libby, passed away of natural causes Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at St. John’s Lutheran Hospital.  

He was born Aug. 8, 1932, in Libby to Clyde and Cornelia Conn. Bubba grew up and attended school in Libby, graduating from Libby High School. 

Bubba entered the U.S. Navy and served his country for three years. After his service in the military, he returned home and went to work at the sawmill. After 43 years at the mill, he retired in 1995. 

Bubba was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley; his sister, Sally; and his mother.

Survivors include his children: Ruth McPherson (John) of Minneapolis, Minn; Delbert Conn (Phyllis) of Sioux Falls, S.D.; and Hazel James (Dave) of Libby; sisters: Karen Ludwig (Larry) of Lewiston, Idaho; and Carol Marry of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; and numerous grandchildren.

Services and potluck reception will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at the Elk’s, 220 W. Fourth St. in Libby.
