John H. Robbe, 44, formerly of Libby

John Henry Robbe, 44, died of complications related to cancer Jan. 20, 2013, at his home. He was surrounded by his family.

John was born May 7, 1968, to Carl Gailen Robbe and Penny Goodwin Robbe in Libby. He was passionate about life and learning. 

He graduated from Libby High  School in 1986 and was awarded his bachelors in liberal studies from Western Montana College. He was a gifted swimmer, distance runner, backpacker, political activist and, most recently, an in-line skater with the Dallas Pegasus Flyers.

John was an active supporter of the Humane Society and requested that any memorial donations be made to American Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. www.ASPCA.org. 

John is survived by his mother: Penny Robbe in Boise, Idaho; three sisters: Kerry (Tom) Elder of Boise, Idaho; Sue (Tony) Robbe-Austerman of Artesian, S.D.; and Lisa Robbe and intended Rick Boal in Naples, Idaho; his aunt: Nora May Auge in Libby; and uncle Warren Robbe in Troy.
