Nordicfest seeking junior royalty

It may be the dead of winter, but the Libby Nordicfest Committee has been busy making plans for the 2013 event.

This year’s theme is “Troll on over to Nordicfest!” 

At the committee’s annual meeting Jan. 8, the Nordicfest Board elected officers: President Les Nelson; Vice President Ray Eanes; Secretary Freda Howard and Treasurer Peggy Williams.  

Other board members include Rosie Dutton, Verna Johnson, Noelle Gilmore, Frank Hendrickson, Kandis Peterson, Clarence Johnson and Pam Peppenger.  

Nordicfest royalty has  been determined, and they will be crowned at the annual Coronation Banquet at the Ponderosa Room on April 13.

High school juniors in Lincoln County are encouraged to apply for Nordicfest Prince and Princess.  

Junior royalty serve for one year and receive a $750 scholarship. Applications are available through their high school counselors.

Any person interested in serving on the Nordicfest Committee may obtain an application by writing P.O. Box 791 or speaking to any board member.
