Linda Thede, 64, of Libby

Linda D. Thede, 64, of Libby died Monday, Dec. 16, 2013, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

She was born Dec. 28, 1948, in Libby to John and Delores (Becker) Thede.  

Linda grew up and attended school in Libby and graduated from Libby High School with the class of 1967. She attended a computer-science college in Denver for two years.  

Linda then moved to San Diego, Calif., where she worked for two sister banks, one in San Diego and the other in Los Angeles. Linda later moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, before moving back to Libby in 1980. Linda worked for her brother, Dan, until 1985, and then went to work as a dental assistant for Dr. Swanson until her retirement.  

Linda enjoyed working with wood, fishing, her prayer groups, Wednesday night family dinners, and yearly trips with her sister.  One of her favorite pastimes was collecting sand from beaches she had visited around the world.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Delores.

Survivors include her father, John Thede, Jr., of Libby; a brother, Dan (Jean) Thede of Libby; a sister,  Carol (Russell) Fuhlendorf of Libby; five nieces and nephews, Stacey (David)  Cosgriff, Dan (Jennifer)  Thede, Jerad, Flavia, and Gavin (Carma) Fuhlendorf; lifelong friend, Janean Rowland; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013, at Libby Baptist Church, 105 E. Cedar in Libby  with burial at the City of Libby Cemetery.  

Arrangements are under the care of Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home & Crematory of Libby.  

Memorials may be given to Libby Baptist Church or Wings.
