The Lady Loggers struggled to get much going offensively Friday thanks to 27 turnovers. Taylor Quinn led with six points and six rebounds.

In the end, Libby girls lost to Ronan, 44-19.

“We are not giving ourselves chances to score,” Head Coach Jim May said. “I blame a lot of it on inexperience. We gave up a lot of offensive rebounds. If we could cut those in half we would be in a position to win.”

With only one senior on the team, the Lady Loggers know this year is about building and developing. While they shot 7-41 from the field, they did record 12 steals. Shyla Stevenson and Hailley Moe both grabbed six rebounds.

“We are learning a lot about who to play where, and I think we answered some of those questions,” May said.

Stevensville 37-Libby 23: At Stevensville on Saturday, Libby fell to the Yellowjackets. Again, 23 turnovers marred the offensive end.

Quinn led with eight points, going 4-6 from the charity stripe. Devon Gallagher finished with five points, two assists and a steal. Stevenson led the Lady Loggers on the glass with seven rebounds.

“This weekend was about finding roles,” Head Coach May said. “We played well during stretches and I think we are going to get better going forward.”

The Lady Loggers host Whitefish at 7 p.m. Saturday.
