BOZEMAN — Montana State senior Brad Daly is one of six finalists for the 2013 Hendricks Award, which goes to the top defensive end in NCAA football.

Daly leads all of NCAA Division I football with 14 sacks and his 20.5 tackles for loss this season is tied for the most in the FCS. He also has 68 tackles, an interception and two blocked kicks.

MSU coach Rob Ash says Daly was the unquestioned leader of the Bobcat defense. Daly was named the Big Sky Conference co-defensive MVP and is a finalist for the Buck Buchanan Award, which goes to the top defensive player in the FCS.

The Hendricks Award is named for NFL Hall of Famer Ted Hendricks and recognizes on-field performance, leadership and contributions to school and community.

The other finalists are from Clemson, Michigan State, Texas, Missouri and Louisville.
