MSU routs Walla Walla

BOZEMAN — Stephan Holm went 5-for-7 on 3-pointers and scored 21 points as Montana State had six players score in double figures and routed NAIA Walla Walla 109-54 on Saturday night.

The Bobcats (3-5) trailed 15-7 early on but finished the first half on a 47-8 run, which included a string of 21 straight points. Montana State led 54-23 at the break. The 55-point margin of victory was the Bobcats’ largest since 1995.

Montana State shot 62.9 percent from the field (44-for-70) and made 10 of 18 from beyond the 3-point arc. Flavien Davis was 7-for-9 from the field with 18 points while Paul Egwuonwu added 14.
