Country music's Fairchild to perform Saturday, Dec. 14
The Kootenai Heritage Council and International Special Attractions are teaming to present, “A Country Christmas” with Barbara Fairchild and Roy Morris slated for 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at the Libby Memorial Events Center.
Attendees will recall Barbara Fairchild from her Grammy-nominated, No. 1 country hit, “The Teddy Bear Song” (1973). Fairchild is recognized as one of the finest female entertainers in country music and was one of Ralph Emery’s favorite guests during the years he hosted the top-rated “Nashville Now” show on the TNN television network.
Emery even trusted her to be a guest host for him at times in his absence. Through that show, Fairchild became a household name to thousands of viewers.
Seating availability is limited. Tickets are available at Cabinet Books, Homesteaders, Chamber of Commerce, Mountain Meadows, The Western News, River Mist and Rocky Mountain Music, and in Troy at The Hot Club and Booze & Bait.
Tickets are $25 for non-members, $20 for members, and youth tickets for those 18 and younger are $10.
