Libby Elementary registration begins this week

New student registration at Libby Elementary School begins Tuesday, Aug. 13, and continues Wednesday, Aug. 14, at the school.

Parents and guardians may register new students only, kindergarten through sixth, during these two days from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m..

Registration for returning students is Thursday and Friday, Aug. 15 and 16, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the school.

New students need the following information at registration:

• Up-to-date immunization record

• Birth certificate (certified)

• Name, address and phone number of previous school

• Previous school report card and/or other school record

• Name and phone number of an emergency contact.

Arrangements will be made for placement testing.

Any student planning to participate in extra-curricular activities must have a doctor’s sports physical prior to any practice.  

Also, there will be two school open-house dates. They are Aug. 27 and Sept. 19. Times for both open houses are from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The first day of school for students in first to sixth grade is Wednesday, Aug. 28. Students should arrive by 8:15 a.m.

The first day of school is Tuesday, Sept. 3. Kindergarteners should also arrive by 8:15 a.m.
