July 29
• A man called from Libby Dam to report that his queen-sized air mattress and an older chainsaw had gone missing. Dispatch sent officers to check Libby Liquidation and New to You for the items.
• A man reached Fish, Wildlife & Parks after a fawn became stuck in his barbed wire fence. The caller believed the fawn needed to be put down but had no way of disposing of the carcass.
• A resident of 218 East Kootenai Ave. called dispatch to report medications and petty cash had been stolen from her home.
• A resident of Shaughnessy Hill Road called dispatch to complain about the neighbors constantly shooting off their pistols. The caller said the shootings had not been unsafe but she was growing tiresome of the noise.
July 30
• A resident of Idaho Avenue called dispatch to report a residence nearby where a woman was screaming and a boy was throwing rocks at the house.
• An employee at the Libby City Shop called dispatch to report missing equipment.
• A man called to report his wallet had been stolen at the Chase Cut Off on July 4.
• A witness called in a vehicular accident on Highway 2. Dispatch received additional calls about the accident, finding the injuries incurred to be non-life threatening. Dispatch called Harley Davidson in Kalispell to see if someone was available to pick up a motorcycle from the scene.
• A man called dispatch after his son stole several bottles of alcohol from their refrigerator. The parents had been unable to locate the boy up until the time of the call. Dispatch sent officers to join the search.
• A driver called dispatch from Kootenai River Road where a truck following him with a flat tire was hitting signs and swerving along the side of the road.
• An employee at Rosauers caught two women shoplifting.
• Kevin Johnson was arrested on warrant at 61 Post St.
July 31
• A man called the U.S. Fish, Wildlife & Parks after he caught a snake with an injured tail near 50 Templin Road.
• A man walked into the Heritage Museum looking for the Rodeway Inn. An employee sent the man in the right direction, but called dispatch to report the man looked to be in pretty rough shape.
• Richard Brown was arrested and accused of possession of dangerous drugs at 213 Dewey Ave.
• Police officers responded to an alarm that engaged at the Heritage Museum. The facility’s security cameras captured a black Honda leaving the scene.
• A woman called dispatch from 1115 Minnesota Ave., where her husband was attempting to kick her out of the residence.
• A woman from Kootenai River Road called dispatch to report a boy who had come to the house looking for aspirin. When told no, the boy left the front porch, but not toward the driveway, and the caller lost sight of the boy.
Aug. 1
• A man living at 903 East Missoula Ave. called dispatch to report a threatening email from his nephew. Officers could not find the nephew at his home.
• A resident from Crest Street called dispatch to report a theft, and asked to speak with an officer about his son.
• Police found a woman saying offensive things in the Dollar Store on Mineral Avenue.
• Troy dispatch called Libby to relay information about a man driving a red Dodge van, possibly on a lot of medication, towards Bull Lake Road.
• A woman called dispatch from Granite Creek Road, where she found a dead bear cub. Fish, Wildlife & Parks found the woman and took the carcass.
• A man called dispatch to report another man was trespassing and refusing to leave his property at 1780 East 5th St. Exit.
Aug. 2
• An employee at the Cabinet View Golf Course reported some suspicious looking men checking out the area on foot.
