| August 2, 2013 11:08 PM

Glenda Marie Gibson, of Post Falls, Idaho, passed away July 25, 2013.

She was born April 30, 1947, to Archie and Wilda Cunnington in Driggs, Idaho. Glenda was raised with a family of 10 siblings in Sandpoint, Idaho, where she met and married Gary Gibson on Feb. 3, 1966.

Glenda and Gary had children, Angie (Matt Tumlinson), David (Linda) Gibson, Lori and step-daughter Lecia (Rodney Dotson).

She was preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Wilda; brothers, Larry, Nile, and Arlo; a sister, Charlene; husband, Gary in 2007.

Glenda is survived by her brother, Lloyd; sisters, Gloria Moran, Carol Croply, Trish Stevenson and Sherla Gonzolas; many nieces, nephews, her children, and six grandchildren.

Glenda moved from earth to heaven and is now residing with her Heavenly Father. Her cancer was the sign of a fallen world, but her life was a reflection of her risen Savior.

She fulfilled the most noble and highest achievements in life. Glenda’s greatest accomplishment was her children. Her love and nurturing provided a foundation for her children’s faith in God. They are all conscientious contributors to their communities and their children (Glenda’s grandchildren) all love Jesus. Her second greatest accomplishment was her service to others and the way she exemplified Christ.

Wherever she lived she faithfully loved and served her church by teaching classes, hosting Home Groups, serving on committees, in leadership, and feeding everyone. Glenda was a member of the staff at Real Life Ministries, Post Falls, for a number of years as the Women’s Ministry Leader. Her service helped her church move through a growth period into new ministries.

Even after retiring as full time paid staff, she continued to serve her church and others full time. Every person that she met and had the chance to serve was covered in prayer, and her constant prayer for others brought comfort, healing and joy to them. Glenda was a “slave” to Christ and yet knew she was free above all, always giving God the glory, teaching others to do the same.

The legacy of Glenda’s life has shaped and influenced all who knew her and will continue to shape and influence generations to come. She truly lived a life of significance.

English Funeral Chapel, Post Falls was entrusted with the final arrangements.
