Tami R. Koehler, 55, of Spokane

Surrounded by her loving family and faithful dog, Oscar, Tami Renee Koehler, 55, passed away at home peacefully on April 4, 2013.

She was born in Detroit, Mich. on Oct. 11 1957.Her family later moved to Libby in 1973, where she met her future husband, Clint.

It was the beginning of their junior year in high school, when Tami asked Clint to go with her to a “Sadie Hawkins” dance. They were together the next 40 years, 30 of which were married bliss celebrated recently on their Valentine’s Day anniversary.

Tami worked for Rosauers Supermarkets for nearly 24 years, most of that time spent at Store No. 3. She dearly loved her job and most of all, her many customers. She always received the highest grades from “secret shoppers” over her many years.

She enjoyed the outdoors, traveling, gardening and her beloved grandchildren. Tami will be missed and cherished by all those who were fortunate enough to have experienced her presence. 

In life, she cast a wide net of joy to a great many. Her tenderness and spirit will always live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Clint; daughter, Spring; brother, Robert; sister, Tina; and grandchildren, Bradley, Tracey, Tristin and Skyler. 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Julie; brother, Kenny; and stepfather, Chuck.

The family gives its heartfelt thanks to Cancer Care Northwest and Hospice of Spokane.

There will be a celebration of Tami’s life at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 4, at the LDS Church south on Highway 2. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Interment to follow in Libby.
