March 28

• Derrick James Mitchell had an aggravated assault charge and a revocation of a suspended sentence dismissed. He also had a disorderly conduct and drunken pedestrian charge dismissed, but would serve some time for a partner-family member assault committed March 30, 2012, that had a suspended sentence attached.

• James Eugene Call was fined $700 and given a sentence of 180 days, 175 of which were suspended, for a third DUI charge dating back to Dec. 2, 2012. He had charges of speeding and driving with a suspended license dismissed.

• Christopher R. Parker was fined $700 and given a suspended sentence of 180 days in jail for hunting a large game animal during closed season dating back to Nov. 24, 2012. He had additional charges of unlawful possession of game and failure to tag game dismissed.

• Zachry C. Sweatt was fined $1,000 for aggravated driving under the influence dating back to Jan. 5.

• Austin M. Bailey was fined $300 for his third or subsequent offense of possessing intoxicating substances while under the age of 21 dating back to Feb. 11.

March 29

• Scott K. Bunker was fined $500 for unlawful possession of game dating back to Nov. 24, 2012.

• Rigoberto A. Ibarra had a charge of criminal possession of drug paraphernalia dismissed by the prosecution.

March 26

• Three horses were running down Highway 37 around mile marker 10.

• Caller lost her black LG flip phone in Libby in case it is located. 

•  St. John’s Lutheran Hospital called to report that a female had been bitten by a black lab with no collar in the area of Nevada Avenue.

• Wayne Polk was arrested on an outstanding warrant at the Sandman Down Under Motel.

• Warrant was issued for a residence on Second Avenue.

March 27

• The safe door burglar alarm at Rosauers was tripped. Libby Police responded, and were told it was an employee who accidentally tripped it. Everything was fine.

• Caller on Highway 2 reported someone had sneaked into his window while he was away and stolen some cash and medication.

• A family disturbance was reported on Dolphin Way. A couple was disputing at a trailer court, the male fired rounds from a weapon and the female left in a maroon-colored SUV toward Libby. 

• Troy dispatch received a report that mailboxes on Iron Creek Road might have been tampered with. A suspicious individual was riding a bicycle around the area earlier.

• Caller at park near Central School reported kids going by in a school bus and harassing her.

• A horse, completely saddled, was walking down Pipe Creek Road with no rider.

• Caller in Reese Court reported he was assaulted by his girlfriend the night before shortly before midnight. He didn’t wish to file charges, just to log his side of the story in case she presses charges.

• An owl was sitting on the side of Kilbrennan Lake Road. Caller thought Fish and Game should be aware.

• Caller on Lodgepole Way reported he was burning a slash pile and it caught the barn on fire. LVFD was paged, and a downed powerline caused Flathead Electric to be called.

• James Lee Reid, 34, was arrested for disorderly conduct at the Evergreen Motel after allegedly becoming drunk and belligerent.

March 28

• Montana Highway Patrol reported an injured deer on Highway 2 near Happy’s Inn.

• A trucker hit a bighorn sheep on Highway 37 near McGuire Creek.

• A German shepherd was chasing deer on Therriault Creek Road near Eureka.

• Some suspicious people were reported near the Troy railroad tunnel. They were living in a camper and had several dogs with them.
