Libby’s golfers got their first real look at how Divisionals will stack up at Cabinet View next week when they hosted the Libby Invitational on Friday.

It looks like some familiar teams will be running the show.

On the boys side Whitefish and Frenchtown ran away with it, finishing at 342 and 352 respectively. Polson finished fourth at 371; six strokes ahead of Libby, putting third place in conference well within reach. Columbia Falls finished last with 425 strokes.

The boys were competitive, but the girls struggled on their home course, finishing sixth of seven teams and beating Glacier’s junior varsity team.

Polson and Whitefish were neck and neck for the girls, with the Lady Pirates beating the Lady Bulldogs by a single stroke.

Frenchtown, Columbia Falls and Libby were well behind the pack at 440, 480 and 507.

Paige Bothman and Lily Feeback shot a 116 and 117 to lead the Lady Loggers.

Morgan Wilkins shot the best score of the day for the boys team, finishing sixth overall with an 83. Quinn Sullivan finished at 89.

Libby hosts Divisionals at Cabinet View Golf Club on Thursday.
