Troy man questions why residents fear family; says things are getting better

| September 11, 2012 12:45 AM

Letter to the Editor,

Ok, so ive been living in Troy close to 15 years now, and I’ve seen the craziness of our city government, especially over the last few years.

My Question to the community is .... Why are people around Troy so scared about this McDougall family?

Everyone is either afraid to talk about them or no one has anything good to say about most of the McDougall family.

This McDougall family, especially the ones involved in the city government, sound like just because their family has been around the community for quite some time, that they think they deserve a say in what direction our city is moving.

And, if you are not in their little “clique” they will do everything possible to make your life/lives miserable.

All you have to do is listen, and its not hard to hear people or groups of people talk about this. I hear it sometimes on a daily basis,  even with the new mayor things are getting a little better.

People are starting to talk with each other and not against or at, but there are still dark forces at work to undermine forward progress.

To editor, you can post this or not. Just don’t use my phone number or address.

I’m not worried about my name being used because, luckily, I keep my nose out of the daily politics of our city.
