Library Book Sale is Sept. 7

The Libby Friends of the Library hold a monthly book sale on the first Friday of each month from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.  Friday, Sept. 7.  

The Libby Library will host story time for preschool age children every Tuesday at 10 a.m.

The libraries in Eureka, Libby and Troy will be closed Saturday Sept. 1 in observance of Labor Day.

The libraries in Eureka, Libby and Troy will be closed Saturday, Sept. 8, for staff in-service and training.

At noon Sept. 15, the library will host a book discussion.  The book is “Still Alice” by Lisa Genova. Fifty-year old Harvard professor Alice Howland is surprised to learn she suffers from early-onset Alzheimer’s disease. Written by a neuroscientist, the book examines the effects of the disease one’s daily life, family, and spirit.  Remember to check out your copy early enough to read it before the discussion.

At noon Sept. 22, the library will host an “Introduction to Facebook” class.  Computers are available, but patrons are encouraged to bring their own laptops if they have them.

At noon Sept. 29, the library will show the 2010 animated feature “How to Train Your Dragon.”  The movie is 98 minutes and rated PG.

The last Friday of every month is Amnesty Day at the Lincoln County Libraries.  This month Amnesty Day is Friday, Sept. 28.  Any materials less than 90 days overdue which are returned in good condition to any of the three libraries on that day will have all penalties waived.  Overdue interlibrary loan materials are not included.
