Faith Bache, 98, formerly of Libby

| October 23, 2012 1:47 PM

On Oct. 7, 2012, Faith Bache passed peacefully from this earth into eternity.

Faith was born on Jan.  2, 1914, in Stockton, Calif., to Rev. and Mrs. W. Mowat.

Her daughter, Charlotte Jonasson, survives her, as does a sister, many grand- and great-grand children, nieces and nephews.

Sadly, her son Gary Hicks preceded her in death earlier this year.

Much of Faith’s life was lived in southern California. In 1977 she braved life in the wilds of northwest Montana where she met and married Raymond Bache.

He preceded her in death in 2006. Raymond’s daughters, Bonnie Emett (Leonard) and Dottie Sheffield (Jim), children and grandchildren count her as their own.

Faith’s final few years were spent in her cozy apartment at Rose Arbor Assisted Living Facility in Hermiston, Ore., close to her second family and lovingly cared for by staff members.  To the end, her conversation was nearly always anchored by and centered around Jesus.

She was memorialized by a loving grandchild as follows: “The world lost my Nana Sunday. She was a Jesus lover, tic-tac giver, mush maker, makeup instructor, hamburger soup canner, slipper knitter, 98 (few months shy of 99) years young extraordinary Nana.”

The family asks that friends join them in a memorial service at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at the new Libby Assembly of God church.

Contributions in Faith’s memory are welcome to be made to the building program of Libby Assembly. She had so hoped to celebrate the first service of the new facility with the Libby folks, but is celebrating in heaven instead.
