SJLH Jeans Day gives to Troy VFD

| October 17, 2012 11:36 AM

On the last Thursday in September, the employees of St. John’s Lutheran Hospital once again supported a local non-profit agency with their monthly Jeans Day.

This time, their generosity was in support of the Troy Volunteer Fire Department.  Together, the SJLH employees contributed $271.50 to the cause.

Then, the hospital matched the employees’ gifts adding another $271.50, and bringing the total donation up to $543.

The Troy Volunteer Fire Department will be using the money to help purchase a new power pump for Rescue Truck No. 25.

“The employees of St. John’s have stepped up to the plate once again, and are thrilled to be able to help local not-for-profit agencies like Troy Volunteer Fire Department,” said KC Hoyer, Marketing Manager at St. John’s.

“Here at St. John’s, we work closely with organizations like this one, and we see their good works on a daily basis.  I can’t tell you how thankful we are that Troy Volunteer Fire Department is here to help the people of South Lincoln County when they need it most.”
