Dr. Heppe retires from hospital staff

| October 17, 2012 11:37 AM

After 14 years of dedicated service to St. John’s Lutheran Hospital and the people of Lincoln County, Dr. Mark Heppe is retiring.

The hospital held a celebration is his honor on Sept. 25.

Dr. Heppe will be missed not only by his patients and the staff who worked with him, but also by the rest of the St. John’s medical staff.

“He always practices the very best medicine possible,” said Dr. Jay Maloney, Medical Director of Emergency Services, and Chief of Staff at SJLH.

“He set a great example for the rest of us, and by doing so, caused all of us to work harder.  So, in essence, he helped patients that he never even saw.  He will be missed,” Maloney said.
