International Special Attractions announces its partnership with the Kootenai Heritage Council to bring headliner entertainment to Libby at the Memorial Center.

International Special Attractions (ISA) was established in 1989 and during the past two decades has become a world leader in the production of large-scale special attractions, events and theatrical productions.

Patricia Ryan (Morford), a booking agent for ISA who heads up the Fairs & Festivals Department and now calls Libby home, has been working with the Kootenai Heritage Council for the past year and just recently signed a partnership agreement with the group to bring entertainment to the Memorial Events Center.

The first major event as a result of the joint effort will be a concert event featuring Whisperin’ Bill Anderson titled, “A Night With A Legend.”

The event is slated for 8 p.m. Oct. 20, in the Libby Memorial Events Center.

Anderson is a member of the Grand Ole Opry as well as the Country Music Hall of Fame. Some of Andersons impressive credits include six-time Songwriter of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Band of the Year, Duet of the Year, a Grammy nomination in 2007, CMA song of the year in 2005 and 2007. Bill Anderson’s portfolio also includes hit songs like “Po Folks”, “Mama Sang a Song”, “The Tips of My Fingers”, and “Still”, just to name a few!  Anderson has also proved that he is an outstanding songwriter by writing such hits as “Whiskey Lullaby”-Brad Paisley, “Saginaw Michigan”-Lefty Frizzell, “Give It Away”-George Strait, “City Lights”-Ray Price, and “A Lot of Things Different”-Kenny Chesney.

The show “A Night With a Legend” offers something unique for concert-goers. In the first hour of the two-hour show, Anderson talks about his song-writing career and sings those songs that have truly made him a legendary writer. The show closes with a bang as Bill Anderson takes the audience for a trip to the Grand Ole Opry, where he sings his hits that make him one of America’s favorite classic country artists! Come enjoy a “Night with a Legend” and show your support to the Kootenai Heritage Council and the Memorial Events Center in Libby.
