Evelyn May Gilkison, 94, formerly of Libby, passed away Nov. 7, 2012, at the Bitterroot Valley Living Center in Stevensville, Mont.
She was born on Sept. 23, 1918, at the family home in Belgrade.
She was a mother to many, grandma to all. She dedicated her life to Jehovah in 1950 to help others.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Gilkison; her parents, Florence (Melton) and Ed Knadler; siblings Myrtle Elliott, Marie Gibson, Ed Knadler Jr., Arlene Kendall, Frank Knadler, and Artie Knadler; two grandsons, Bobbie Hosea and Cory Okon. She is survived by her brother John (June) Knadler.
She leaves behind two daughters, Sandie (Ric) Hoven of Iowa, Patti (Dave) Okon of Florence, Mont. three sons, Butch (Gail) Gilbert of Arizona, Billy (Bev) of Virginia and Dave (Marilyn) of North Dakota; eight grandchildren; 18 great- grandchildren; 16 great, great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at the Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby.
