Chamber grateful for downtown eagle effort

Letter to the Editor,

The Libby Area Chamber of Commerce would like to thank owners all of the downtown businesses who signed the petition for the World’s Largest Eagle at the end of Mineral Ave. 

A huge thank-you to City Councilmen Allen Olsen who obtained all of those signatures. 

The World’s Largest Eagle will be a huge economic boost for Libby. 

The Libby Area Chamber of Commerce is now having a drawing for the eagle that is in front of Big Sky Lumber. 

Tickets are available at the Chamber of Commerce and are $10. The drawing will be Feb. 2 at the Annual Chamber of Commerce Fundraiser. 

With the community support and the permission from the City Council we can now move forward on applying for grants. 

The Chamber knows how much the local business’s give to the community and do not want the eagle to be a financial burden.
