Ski Groomer

The Western News

Skiers at Turner Mountain Ski Area this winter will see better and more consistently groomed slopes, thanks to a recent purchase by the popular downhill area.

Turner Mountain officials took possession of their new Primoth 350 horsepower diesel ski groomer recently, and they are eager to use it.

“People will see improvements to our slopes,” said Turner Mountain Ski Area Board Member Bruce Zwang.

The 2006 model groomer, which costs about $250,000 new, was purchased for $40,000.

Zwang said the group plans to keep its older groomer and use both to make sure the slopes are in top shape for skiers.

“This new groomer will give us a lot of flexibility,” Zwang said.
