Wilma Dennis, 95, formerly of Troy

Wilma Hudlow VanNote Jenson Dennis passed away Oct 23, 2012. 

She was born June 7, 1917, in Rathdrum, Idaho, to Rufus and Emma Hudlow. She moved to Troy, Mont., in a horse-drawn wagon in 1920, where her family homesteaded on Kilbrennan Lake. She attended school in Troy and graduated in 1935. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Robert J. Dennis, her daughters, Karen Blume and Ellen Davis, four grandchildren and all eight of her siblings.

She had a love of the great outdoors, especially enjoying hunting, fishing and gardening to provide for her family. She had a special love of huckleberrying and enjoyed picking thrrough her 88th year. 

She was well known for her large patch of irises in all and every color.

She is survived by her children Lester D. VanNote (wife Marla) of Spokane, Wash., Janeth L. Hilmes (husband Ronald) of Troy, Darlene J. Kates of Spokane, Wash., Ronald C. Jenson (wife Linda) of Creston, Wash., Dwayne A. Jenson (wife Lisa) of Palmer, Alaska, and Catherine E. Dennis of Spokane, Wash., stepson Robert Zack (wife Cheryl) of Cayonville, Ore.

She was blessed with 25 grandchildren, 54 greatgrandchildren, 30 great, great-grandchildren and one great, great, great-grandson. 

A gathering of family and friends will be 2 p.m. Nov 4 at the Eagles Lodge in Spokane, Wash., at 6410 N. Lidgerwood Ave. 

Lunch will be served at 2 p.m. She requested no funeral service.
