Peggy Eveland, 35, formerly of Libby
On Oct. 25, 2012, Peggy Jane Bowker-Eveland, 35, passed peacefully at her home in Spokane, Wash. from this earth into heaven.
She was born Oct. 26, 1976, in Spokane, Wash., to Dale and Rose (Hammer) Bowker. She grew up and went to school in Libby, and graduated from Libby High School in 1996.
Peggy enjoyed 4-H, Civil Air Patrol and cheerleading while attending high school. She worked at McDonald’s during her high school years and that is where she met her future husband Jeff Eveland.
Peggy and Jeff were married June 5, 1996, in Libby.
They were blessed with two handsome boys, Jacob Alan, now 15 and Isaac Spencer, 13. She loved being a mother and tried to see the positive in life.
After her father died, they moved to Spokane, Wash. It was then she was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma, stage 4.
Throughout the treatment of chemo and radiation, she continued to work, go to school, and raise a family until the disease reached a point where she could no longer do so.
She was preceded in death by her father Dale Melvin Bowker, and grandparents Peter and Mary Hammer, and Melvin and Katherine Bowker.
Survivors include her husband Jeff Eveland, sons Jacob Eveland and Isaac Eveland, her mother Rose Bowker, a sister Kamy Bowker, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Viewing will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, at the Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby.
Services will be held Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Libby Christian Church.
