Equestrian club grateful to sponsors for its successful season

| November 1, 2012 1:48 PM

Letter to the Editor,

As the 2012 president of the KVRC Equestrian Group, I would like to take a moment to reflect on this season and thank all the amazing people and businesses that donated time and money to make it all possible.

Our season began a little slow, but once the weather cleared, we were on the go.

Bi-monthly jackpot barrel races May through September, obstacle trail challenge clinic (plans to expand in 2013), hometown barrels immediately following the local Pro Rodeo, 2nd Annual “Saddle Up” for St. Jude fundraising ride,  Annual BRN4D Sanctioned Barrel race which brought 75-plus barrel racers from across Montana, Idaho, Washington and Canada to our town, and Family Fun Night of Barrels in conjunction with the Montana State O-Mok-See, which was hosted by the Troy Saddle Tramps.

We ended our season with the “Paint It Pink” 5k/10k Walk/Run (ride) we had 10 participants with horse and rider decked out in pink!

In addition to these events, we enjoy getting together to ride our local area trails, play days with the Libby Saddle Club, and sharing our knowledge and love of equine.

All of this would not be possible without the generous contributions of our local sponsors:

Montanore Minerals, Rosita’s, Troy Mine Inc, Rosauers, Homesteaders/Last Straw, Foss Chiropractic, Managhan’s Furniture, Reintsma Law Office, Save Rite Stations, Subway, D & M Enterprise, Timberline Auto Center, Big Sky Lumber, Flathead Electric, Montana Athletic Club, Olson Heating, Shooters & Scooters, Antler Tree Nursery, Eric Simpson DDS, Justin Green Acupuncturist, Maggie’s 2, Kootenai Family Dentistry, Mark’s Magic Carpet Inc, Melissa Beck Accounting, Mint Bar, Shear D’Zine, Naturally Good Things, Treasure Mountain Casino, Northern Energy/AmeriGas, Western Windshield, Young Guns Pizza, Pioneer Auto & Wrecking, TBC Timber and The Banner Bin.

In addition to our sponsors, I want to thank each and every family member and member of our organization for making this an outstanding year.  KVRC has grown significantly in the past four years, and we have plans to continue.

If you are a horse owner, lover or just admirer and are interested in learning more about our group please feel free to look us up.
