Daryel D. Williams, 69, of Libby

Daryel D. “Butch” Williams, 69, of Libby, died on Sunday, April 22, 2012, after a long courageous battle with cancer.  

He was born on May 12, 1942, at Toppenish, Wash., to Carl and Phyllis Williams.  He attended schools in Toppenish and entered the U.S. Army after graduating from high school. 

He married Janice Emerick on April 7, 1972, in Toppenish.  They had two children. 

After retiring from the farming business on March 16, 1985, they moved to Montana.  He worked as a mason and carpenter. Butch was an avid outdoorsman; he enjoyed deer and elk hunting. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Phyllis Williams, and a sister Kaye.  

Survivors include his wife, Janice Williams, Libby, Mont.; his two children Denise Williams, Yakima, Wash.; Kevin Emerick (Lisa), Vancouver, Wash.; two sisters JoAnn Bell (Bob), Toppenish, Wash.; Cyndi Merryman (Mike), Zellah, Wash.; three grandsons Chris Gordy, Yakima, Wash.; and Zack and Bryan Emerick, Vancouver, Wash.

As per his request, there will be no services.  

Arrangements are by Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home & Crematory in Libby.
