Lorraine Scott Shermont, 94, died Thursday, April 19, 2012, of natural causes in Rapid City, S.D.  

Lorraine was born Jan. 24, 1918, in Veblin, S.D.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her husbands, Maurice Scott in 1981 and Robert Shermont in 2001, and grandson Tom Scott in 1994.

Lorraine is survived by sons Gene Scott of Yakima, Wash., Lloyd Scott of Libby, Perry Scott of Owls Head, N.Y., Danny L. Scott of Lake Havasu, Ariz., Leon Scott of Missoula, Mont.; daughters DeeAnn Clark and Kristi Garner of Rapid City, S.D.; sister, Clarice Zornes of Tacoma, Wash.; 17 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
