Kootenai Pets for Life elects new officers for 2012
Kootenai Pets For Life elected new officers recently, and Eileen Carney is the new president.
Supporting Carney is Vice President and Shelter Director Tami White, Connie Holthaus, Secretary; and Carol McAllister, Treasurer.
Board members are Anita Beasley Susan Bulyar, Lynn Hagarty, Judy Hyslop, Beth Murray, Bobbi McCanse, and Linda Newstrom.
Kootenai Pets For Life was started in 2001 by a group of concerned citizens to provide a humane, no-kill shelter for the stray and abandoned pet population of the Libby/Troy area.
It is a non-profit, all volunteer organization providing shelter, assisting the community with spay and neuter, foster care, veterinary assistance and education.
Interested persons can be an active or silent member.
Persons may stop by the shelter at 125 County Shop Road in Libby or call 293-kpfl (5735) and arrange a time for a short training program.
Persons can become part of the KPFL team by walking dogs, socializing cats, grooming animals, shelter cleaning, grounds upkeep, foster care, medical expenses, pet food or supplies, fundraising, office work and more.
