Resident grateful for volunteers to help others

| March 16, 2012 11:32 AM

Letter to the Editor,

I would like to take this opportunity to say thank-you to the fifth-grade teachers, Mrs. Rewerts, Mr. Moe, Mrs. Benner and Mr. Rewerts who willingly organized a ski and snowboard trip to Blacktail Mountain recently.

What an experience for the students, some of whom had never had a pair of skis on their feet. From all accounts the day was a huge success.

Another group of volunteers who need to be recognized are the folks who organize Hunter Safety classes. This is a very important job, living where we do in hunting country.

Around 60 students took the class, two hours for six days, had to take a test then out to the rifle range to learn to shoot various guns.

Thank you to all the volunteers who gave up time to make sure our children will be safe in the woods.
