Joan Lee Jensen 72, of Libby

Joan Lee (Harwood) Jensen passed away at her home in Libby from a long illness of heart disease on March 13, 2012, at the age of 72.

Born in Long Beach, Calif., on May 18, 1939, to David and Aurelia Harwood, she was raised in Long Beach where she met her husband Roger of 53 years.

Joan lived in numerous cities until finally settling in Colstrip, Mont., for 15 years and later retiring in Libby in 1994.

She was the kind of wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt or friend that you could call anytime. She loved visiting with family and friends.

Her favorite activities were talking, traveling to see her grandchildren, playing Scrabble and shopping.

She was preceded in death by her son, Wesley Jensen, sisters Terrie Healy, Tamara Petrick and brother, Jim Harwood.

She is survived by her husband, Roger Jensen, daughter, Rhonda (Darwin) Sell, daughter Jill (Ray) White, daughter Tamara (Shane) Paul, granddaughter Brandi (Jeremy) Novak, 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and sisters Donna (Rodney) Jones and Judy (Jim) Jones.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at the Colstrip Montana Cemetery at Colstrip, Mont.

Arrangements are by Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby.
