Bowhunters now must apply online for this year's license

Beginning this year, all hunters interested in obtaining a bowhunting license must apply for it online from the Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks department. 

To apply, go to www.fwp.mt.gov, click on Hunter Education under the tab Education. Click on Bowhunter Education, and then find view schedule under Bowhunter Education Course. Libby’s orientation is on July 18. 

Click that date and then click once more to register yourself. 

The dates for actual classes are July 23-27 from 6 to 9 p.m. The orientation will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. July 18 at Frontier, 114 E 4th Street in Libby. 

The class will be at the Lincoln County Shooting Complex.
