Incredi-Bull event comes to town on Saturday

The first big event in Libby this summer plans to kick off Saturday as the Incredi-Bull Blowout event returns to J. Neils Park on Saturday, June 9, for a night of music, games and plenty of bull riders.
The sixth-annual Incredi-Bull will feature 34 riders competing for a $4,000 pot and will award a $1,000 scholarship to Richard Halsey III, a recent graduate from Libby High.
Event Chairman Brett Bronson makes no money off the event, but is happy to devote time to it.
“Our major purpose for this event is to provide something for this town to do and to give a scholarship to a kid,” Bronson said. “A few handful of kids get five or six scholarships. We wanted something for a kid who really needs it.”
Halsey graduated with high honors gold cords Sunday.
The bull-riding event will run from 6:30 to 9 p.m., after which event-goers will be treated to several hours of music by the headlining band, The Copper Mountain Band. Music runs until 1 a.m. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the gate, but Bronson is quick to note that the event is non-profit and serves only to pay for expenses.
Besides the main bull-riding, the event also will host a bounce house and boot race for children as well as a mechanical bull for adults. There will be a contest with both a men’s and women’s division where the winner takes the whole pot. Buy-in is $10.
Several riders from the Professional Bull Riders circuit will be riding, including Matt Triplett and Cory Ford.
“Look for this to be the biggest and best one we’ve had yet,” Bronson said.
