Georgia Rae Seybold, 74, of Libby

| June 13, 2012 11:33 AM

Georgia Rae Seybold, 74, died Friday June 1, 2012 at her home in Libby.  She was born to Benjamin Lambert, Jr. and Georgia Ruth (Cones) Lambert at Centerton, Ark., on Sept. 13, 1937.

She was the last of five children.

For the greater part of her upbringing, the family had lived in Grand Junction, Colo.

She married Jimmie Coleman Rogers on Dec. 26, 1956. While raising their five children, they had resided at many locations throughout the country while her husband worked in construction.

She resided in Boulder, Mont., for 20 years where she had worked as a nurse’s aide at the Boulder River School and Hospital.

She married Bob DeWayne Seybold on May 31, 1989, and came to live in Libby in 1991.  She had been an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Georgia enjoyed the Montana great outdoors, both the scenery and most particularly the fishing.

She loved time with her family and friends, reading, knitting, flying, crocheting, tending her plants and garden, and playing games.

A woman of character and truth, she devoted herself to her many church callings and to serving others by helping those around her.

Preceding Georgia in death were her parents, and a son, James Robert Rogers.

Her family is grateful for God’s gift of Georgia in their lives. Her laugh, her wisdom and her sense of humor will be missed.

Her children take comfort that she is now in the Lord’s care and look forward to the day when they will see her again.

She is survived by her children, Pamela Jo Kemp (Paul) of Bullhead City, Ariz.; Lori Dawn Badder of Arcadia, Mich.; Terry Ann Bennett (Mark), Anaconda, Mont.; Wayne Allen Rogers (Linda) of Helena, Mont.; stepchildren Gary Allen Seybold, and Theresa Jean Talbot, both of Libby; Melinda Ann Mercer (Rick), Arkansas; a brother, Jack Lambert (Carol) of Douglas, Wyo.; 19 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 10, 2012, at Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby and from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Relief Society Room at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Service will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 11, at the church.
