Dorthie J. Scott, 61, of Troy

Dorthie J. Scott, 61, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2012, at her home in Troy. 

She was born Aug. 29, 1950, to Dyle and Dorothy (Hunter) Reagle at home on Bull Lake Road near Troy, Mont. She was the youngest of four children.  She attended school in Troy and in Libby.

Dorthie married Clifford B. Scott on Sept. 3, 1968. They were married for 42 years, when the love of her life passed away in 2010. They raised four sons; Herb, Kelly, Dyle and Don.

She enjoyed having family and friends in her home, had a beautiful flower garden filled with birds, especially her hummingbirds. 

She loved to cook, play cards, go to yard sales and read books. 

Her home was filled with laughter, love and sparkles.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cliff; sister, Lilian; brother, Victor; her parents, and her sister-in-law, Roxie Ann Scott.

She is survived by her sons, Herb (Joanna), Kelly, Dyle and Don (Rolanda) all of Libby; four grandchildren, Daniel, DeWayne, Jennifer and Juanita; sister, Della Simmons of Seattle, Wash.; sister-in-law, Ardith Guinard of Troy; brother-in-laws, Walter Scott, Jesse Scott both of Libby; Buddy (Laurie) Scott of Troy, and Tony (JoAnn) Scott of Troy; many beloved nieces and nephews and many special friends that include; Becky and Kent Nord, Steve Cook, Mike and Sheila Mills.

A memorial will be held for Dorthie at her home, 8815 Bull Lake Road at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 16.

The family asks all who loved her to come, share a memory and your favorite dish, as it will be a potluck.
