Robert A. Jensen, 93, died at his home on Sunday, May 13, 2012, in Libby with his family near.
Jensen was born in Vallejo, Calif., on June 14, 1918. He served honorably in both the Canadian and U.S. military.
During his military service in Europe, he met Christina Fraser in Inverness, Scotland, and married her in 1944.
He had many occupations during his 93 years, including railroad man, miller, rancher and water-well driller.
He was preceded in death by his wife Christina after 56 years of marriage, and he was also preceded in death by his son, Martin Ian Jensen.
He is survived by his daughter, Sheila Vetter (Robert), grandchildren Jana Burgett (Kristopher), Julie Fitchett (Travis), Alanna Kurosky (Doug), and great grandchildren Katelyn Burgett, Olivia Fitchett, and Alysha Taylor.
For those of us left, let us remember his compassion for life.
A life filled with love, laughter and tenderness toward all who had the privilege of knowing him. He indeed lived his life to the fullest.
