Four-time Tour winner takes home top honor at tourney

Lon Hinkle, who played professional golf during the 1970s, shot a 139 to outduel all contenders this last weekend to win top honors at the Ben Graham Golf Touranment at Cabinet View Golf Club.

Hinkle, who has four PGA Tour titles to his credit from 1972 to 1994, outdueled all provessionals by six strokes to take home the top prize.

“I’m looking forward to defending my title next year,” Hinkle said.

Hinkle won the New Orleans Open and the Mixed-Team compeition in 1978 and then won the Crosby Open and the World Series of Golf in 1979.
