SJLH Jeans Day gives $158 to KPFL

| July 20, 2012 12:49 PM

As they have in the past, the employees of St. John’s Lutheran Hospital came together for another Jeans Day to raise money for a local non-profit organization, Kootenai Pets For Life (KPFL).

KPFL is an  all volunteer organization providing shelter and care for the stray and abandoned pets of the Libby/Troy area, and assisting the community with spay and neuter, foster care, veterinary assistance, and education.

From 2001 through 2011, the group adopted out  2,131 pets.  Each cat or dog that goes into the shelter is spayed or neutered and up to date on shots before being released for adoption.

Together, the employees of St. John’s contributed $258 to KPFL.

St. John’s Lutheran Hospital will be matching its employee’s contributions, bringing the total up to $518.

“The employees of St. John’s are always extremely generous about showing their support for other local not-for-profit organizations,” said KC Hoyer, Marketing Manager at St. John’s Lutheran Hospital.

“It is overwhelming for me to see the constant spirit of giving that we have right here in our own organization, and in South Lincoln County as well.”
