Marketing and PR Department is recognized for billboard

St. John’s Lutheran Hospital’s Marketing and Public Relations Department recently was awarded a Silver Aster Award for its “Small Town Touch” billboard which is located off of Highway 2 on the west end of Libby.

The Aster Awards, one of the largest national competitions of its kind, is hosted by Marketing Healthcare Today Magazine and Creative Images, Inc.  

This elite program recognizes outstanding healthcare professionals for excellence in their advertising/marketing effort for the previous calendar year.

The 2012 Aster Awards received nearly 3,000 entries from across the United States as well as Canada and South America.  

Participant’s entries competed against similar-sized organizations in their category, and were judged by a diverse panel of experts.  

A Best of Show Trophy, Judge’s Choice Awards, as well as Gold, Silver, and Bronze certificates were granted to winning entries exemplifying excellence.

“Although our nation has been challenged economically, the talent of healthcare marketing professionals seems to be at an all time high.  

The 2012 Aster Awards contained some of the best advertising arguably in the world.  

The judge’s expectations were again surpassed,” said Melinda Lucas, Aster Award Program Coordinator.

All winners are posted on the Aster Awards website (www.AsterAwards.com), as well as published in Marketing Healthcare Today, a national healthcare marketing magazine.
