Adamson gives back to his Angels

Ron Adamson owes much to the men and women of Angel Flight, namely, his daughter’s life.

He was stranded during a blizzard in Sheridan, Wyo. on his way to Houston, Texas when he received a phone call that no father ever wants to get. 

“My daughter, 33, had a brain hemorrhage and was being flown to Kalispell,” Adamson said. “The roads opened the following day and I made way for the hospital. By then a second airlift for my daughter was to Missoula. This was handled by the Angel Flight people.”

Angel Flight, a charity organization that pays for medical airlifts for those who can’t afford it, helped save Adamson’s daughter’s life.

To repay their charity, he donated a woodcarving that auctioned for $1,000 earlier this month.

An esteemed woodcarver and sculptor, Adamson has gained notoriety from a sculpture he did  in Winslow, Ariz., an homage to The Eagle’s “Take it Easy.”
