The women’s golf league held their annual Grandmother’s Tournament on Wednesday, June 20.  The tournament was originally slated for earlier in the month but was rescheduled because of rainy weather.

The grandmothers participating in the tournament enjoyed a breakfast of fresh fruit, biscuits and gravy before heading out to tackle the course.

This year’s tournament winner was Christa Reisinger with a net score of 69. Prizes were also awarded to Sue Froberg with low gross score of 101. Christa Reisinger also had the least amount of putts, 32.

The winners of the long drive contest on hole No. 5 were Sue Froberg, Group A and Anna Guthrie, Group B.  Closest to the pin winner on No. 11 was Anna Guthrie, Group B.

Sue Froberg had a chip-in on No. 7 and Sharon Curtiss had a birdie on No. 13. Bobbie Rucker and Marvel Thompson took care of the ladies following the tournament by serving lunch.
