Memento for Logger WrestlersÐ Lee Gehring, right, dry kiln operator for St. Regis Paper Co., presents the specially carved ÒGreen ChainÓ plank to Libby Logger wrestlers, Kurt Spencer, left, John Vignali and Kenny Foss. New wrestling coach Jim Heikes figures ÒThe Green Chain, notoriously the toughest job in a sawmill, would be an appropriate name for a wrestling team, so he dubbed his grapplers with that name. He and Coach Mike Burgess have been working hard to drill the Logger wrestlers to live up to the reputation of the men on the green chain. The lettering in the larch plank has been routed in and painted green, and the entire plank refinished with several lasting coats of shellac. The plank will be displayed in the Ralph Tate Gym.
