Leaping the RiverÐ The Kootenai River separates the Zonolite Co. installation from the tracks of the Great Northern Railway. This suspended conveyor belt carries the vermiculite across the Kootenai and into the waiting freight cars. In the background are the Zonolite storage bins, Highway 37 and the road leading to the vermiculite mine.
