Kenneth A. Foy, 78, of Libby passed away Friday, Feb. 17, 2012, at his home in Libby after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born Feb. 21, 1933, in Peru, Ind., to Lyman and Elizabeth Foy.

Kenneth graduated from high school in Indiana in 1951.  He then served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1951-1956.

After completing his service, he spent the majority of his career working in law enforcement in Needles, Calif., and Laughlin, Nev.

In 1992, Kenneth retired to Libby where he met and married his loving wife Carole in 1997.  He took great pride in his garden and yard, spending hours plotting creative ways to keep the deer out.

He loved to spend his days on his back porch watching wildlife and playing ball with his best friend, their Labrador, K.C.

Some of his greatest adventures include fishing and hunting trips in Alaska, Canada and Montana.

Kenneth is survived by his wife Carole of Libby, son Kenneth Foy, Jr. of Las Vegas, Nev., daughter April Reynoso of Mohave Valley, Ariz., stepdaughter Mary Mireles of Las Vegas, Nev., stepson Greg (Kim) Johnson and their children Madison and Alexander of Florence, Mont., stepson Mark (Ann) Johnson of Florence, Mont., and their children Aryn (Chase) Crawford and Kaylie Johnson, and many other extended family members and friends.
