Dick D. Sharp 63, of Libby

Dick D. Sharp, 63, of Libby died Sunday January 22, 2012, at St. John’s Lutheran Hospital from natural causes. 

He was born Oct. 24, 1948, in Kalispell, Mont., to Donald and Stella Bjornrud Sharp. 

He graduated from Flathead High School with the class of 1966.  He moved to Alaska and in 1967 joined the U.S. Air Force.  He served his country for 21 years and then retired. 

He returned to Libby and went to work for Champion International and Stimson. 

In 1998 he went to work for the local VFW Post 1548.

Dick enjoyed hunting, fishing, puzzles, reading, cooking and telling stories.

Survivors include his children Tina Sharp of Sumner, Wash.; Eric Sharp and Jesse Sharp of Fife, Wash.; Brian Sharp of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two granddaughters Amanda and Kaylee; mother Stella Sharp of Libby; siblings Jim Sharp and wife Carol of Hot Springs, Mont.; Darrel Sharp and wife Dorothy of Eureka, Mont.; Donna Correia and husband Joe of Emmitt, Idaho; Dan Sharp and Terry Tangen of Libby; Deena Farris of Libby; numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services were Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012, at the City of Libby Cemetery in Libby. 

Local arrangements are by Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby.
