Phyliss E. Yonally, 72, formerly of Libby

Phyllis Elaine Yonally, 72, passed away Dec. 11, 2012, of natural causes at the North Central Care Center in Spokane, Wash.

She was born Feb. 15, 1940, in Alva, Okla., the only child of Raymond and Ava (Sawyer) Tolle.  

Phyllis grew up and attended school in Alva, graduating from Alva High School in 1958. She attended college at Wesleyan Methodist College for twoyears and Milton Vale College for three years, earning her degree from Milton Vale College. She also served as a secretary for the college.

Phyllis married Edward Yonally in a church wedding at Alva, Okla., in 1970.  After marrying, she continued to work at Milton Vale College. 

After a move to Oskaloosa, Iowa, Phyllis worked at a bank.  She also began playing the piano and organ. Throughout their marriage, they also lived in Billings and Hot Springs, S.D., (Indian Mission).  

While in Billings, Phyllis worked at a savings and loan  with Congressman Denny Rehberg’s father as her boss.  

The couple retired in 1993 and moved to Libby where they built their new home.  In her retirement, she continued to serve her Lord as church organist in churches in Libby and Troy.  

She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Yonally, in 2009.

Survivors include her children Norman Yonally and wife, Gloria, Joyce Yonally, Jeanne Yonally and Dale Yonally.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home Chapel, 422 W. 2nd St. in Libby with burial to follow at the City of Libby Cemetery.  

Visitation will be held from 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, at Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby.
