The gradual erosion of our freedom, liberties is an abomination, Payne writes
Editor’s Note: After an absence, it is good to have Mr. Payne return to this page. Thanks for your insight, Bill.
Letter to the Editor,
Never say never!
I said I wasn’t going to do this anymore, but after resting my pen for awhile, I find myself being pulled back into the fray as oppressive government continues to chip away at our liberties.
It seems our country as well as the rest of the world has fallen victim to the lure of socialism. Our institutions reek with Marxism and gradually more of our people surrender to the idea of the welfare state.
These people, apparently, like the idea of the state taking care of them and relieving them of the burden of self reliance and responsibility. For those of us who hold dear the idea of freedom for the individual, however, the gradual erosion of our freedom is an abomination.
I don’t believe the drift in our nation away from liberty and into socialism can be attributed solely to leftist, liberal or progressive moments or to the Democratic or Communist parties.
These elements, along with the United Nations, are merely the tools being used by the so-called “one worlders” to accomplish their goal of total world domination.
The obscenely rich and the various royal families that comprise the oligarchy behind the “one world order” plan are not content to merely own most of the wealth of the world.
They will not be satisfied until they have total control of all the people living on the planet.
It is a tragic irony that we spent the past six decades fighting communism all over the world only to become communists ourselves.
We sent our soldiers to foreign lands to fight and die in the battle against communism.
We spent untold billions of our treasure trying to eradicate this malignancy yet allowed communist agents to infiltrate our institutions and promote their anti freedom philosophy.
With the recent Supreme Court ruling on Obama Care, it is evident even this august body has acquired Marxist leaning.
Free people don’t knowingly and voluntarily become communists.
Rather, communists become legislators, journalists, teachers, union leaders, professors, presidents, judges, mayors, ambassadors and other positions of leadership so they can influence and gradually subvert our culture as outlined in the communist manifesto.
