Ignite the Nites comes to town

| August 14, 2012 2:10 PM

Friday and Saturday will celebrate the 51st edition of Ignite the Nites, Libby’s summer hot-rod show that takes over downtown for nights of cruising, cars and controlled mayhem.

There will be a poker run Friday and Saturday where Igniters “make a hand” by collecting playing cards at local businesses.

Local restaurateur Mike Munro decided to get in on the action by extending festivities to Thursday as well.

All three nights promise fun, food and fast cars.

Car registration begins 3 p.m. Friday and goes to 8 p.m.

At 6 p.m., cars will “Cruise The Gut,” and then have a Neon and Flamethrowing contest at 10 p.m.

The Burnout contest is 5 p.m. Saturday.
